This policy explains what happens to information connected with Visions Barbershop, both on this website and in the shop at 37 W Normantown Rd, Romeoville, Illinois.

1. Information this website collects

Essentially none. This is a static website. It has no forms, no login, no shopping cart and no comment section, so there is nothing here for you to type your details into and nothing for us to store.

We do not run advertising trackers or analytics on this site, and we do not set our own cookies.

2. Third-party services used on this site

A few things on the page are loaded from other companies. When your browser fetches them, those companies can see your IP address and basic technical information such as your browser type — the same way that happens on most websites. We do not receive that information.

• Google Fonts — supplies the typefaces the site is set in. See Google's privacy policy.
• Google Maps — the map showing where the shop is. Google may set cookies through that map. See Google's privacy policy.
• Booksy — our online booking. Clicking a Book button takes you to Booksy's own website, where its privacy policy applies to everything you enter.
• Instagram — we link to our profile. Following that link takes you to Meta's platform and its policies.

3. Information we collect in the shop

To book and cut hair we collect only what the job needs:

• Your name and a phone number, so we can hold the appointment and reach you if something changes.
• Which barber you see and what service you had, so your next visit goes the way you want it to.
• Anything you choose to tell your barber about your hair or scalp — allergies, sensitivities, a condition we should work around.

Payment is handled by our payment provider or by Booksy. We do not store your full card number.

4. Photographs

We sometimes photograph haircuts for our Instagram and this website, because our work is how people find us. If you would rather not be photographed, tell your barber — before or after — and that is the end of it. If a photo of you is already posted and you want it taken down, call the shop and we will remove it.

5. How we use information

Only to run the barbershop: to make and keep appointments, to contact you about an appointment, to take payment, and to keep our own records. We do not build advertising profiles.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We share it only with the services that make the business work — our booking platform and our payment processor — and only as much as they need. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

7. How long we keep it

Appointment and contact records are kept for as long as you are a client and for a reasonable period afterwards, and for as long as tax and business record-keeping rules require. Ask us to delete your details and we will, unless we are required to keep them.

8. Your choices

You can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Call the shop or ask in person. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy law; we will honour those requests the same way.

9. Children

We cut hair for all ages and are glad to. This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information online from anyone under 13. A parent or guardian books for a child and gives us the contact details.

10. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that a transmission over the internet is completely safe.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Continuing to use the site or the shop after a change means the updated policy applies.
